The Journey started at Lands End, Boscawen-un stone circle and then heading from South to the North through 12 circles, finishing the journey at the Ring of Brodgar on the Orkney Islands. It took 21 days to complete the journey.
This journey was a reflective, gentle process of meditation, shaped by experiences, encounters, and dreams that became intricately woven into the patterns of the 12 circles. At each location, the artist tuned into the subtle sounds and sensations that emerged on the edges of her awareness, listening to the quiet messages that came through.Sarah documented both her dreams and encounters, alongside field recordings of the sounds at each circle. These elements were woven into the soundscape of each circle, as the journey unfolded with moments of deep connection to the earth, the cosmos, and the very energies of the land. Each circle offered its own unique lessons — from grounding and rootedness to playful joy and insight — leaving the artist with a profound sense of peace and clarity.
